About this property

Welcome to Fish Lake Lodge

Fish Lake Lodge is a lakeside resort featuring both basic and deluxe cabins alongside a historic main lodge built in the 1930s from spruce logs. Situated on the shore of Fish Lake, the property offers a rustic atmosphere with modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi and free parking, while maintaining a smoke-free and family-friendly environment. Guests can expect a straightforward stay focused on relaxation and outdoor activities rather than extensive on-site amenities like fitness centers or swimming pools.

Accommodation options range from cozy, old-fashioned cabins to larger deluxe units equipped with full kitchens, bathrooms, and wood-burning heat, providing comfort suitable for groups and families. Visitors appreciate the natural setting where walking trails, wildlife sightings, and lake views contribute to a tranquil experience. Several reviewers mention the charm of the lodge's original style and the enjoyable fishing opportunities in the nearby lake and river.

Located in Richfield, Utah, Fish Lake Lodge sits approximately 21 miles from the Koosharem Reservoir Recreation Site and within driving distance to Fish Lake itself, a popular spot for boat rentals, fishing, and picnicking. The area attracts outdoor enthusiasts drawn to mountain lakes, hiking, and serene nature settings. The Cedar City Regional Airport is about two hours away by car, making the lodge accessible yet pleasantly remote.

Guest feedback highlights the friendliness of the front staff and the overall appeal of Fish Lake as a destination for nature lovers and anglers. Some comments note a quiet, subdued atmosphere inside the lodge and occasional limitations in guest interaction with ownership, which may suit those seeking a low-key stay. Practical considerations such as variable seasonal access and the modest services on site are reflected in guest reviews, encouraging realistic expectations for accommodations centered on outdoor recreation.

Fish lake is so beautiful. Like stepping back in time a bit with the old school flavor. Been coming here my whole life and never fails to impress. Good food, waters clean and cold. Fun with family. Always rent a pontoon boat for the day and the kids love it.

You can never go wrong here. Front staff was so kind and happy. Owners seemed preoccupied and not interested in visitor chat. Lots of great fishing right by the river running through this lodge area. Fisher men were willing to share secrets. Boat rental had two men who need promotion and made our Pontoon, plus bait worth every day spent there. Prices are also very reasonable for being out many miles from another store.

Fishlake is sooo beautiful!! My family has been going down every summer for almost 50 years. If you want to fish or just kickback and enjoy the beautiful views all around. Lots of walking and biking trails. We have our own cabin so it's just a quick 2 hour journey and you're in God's country!

We always enjoy walking on the shore trail to the lodge. Getting to see the beaver activity, squirrels, and the occasional deer. Then browsing the quaint store for a new t-shirt or snack. Lastly, for some reason, the ice cream cones are a nice treat to make it worth your while. Helpful hint: take some time to walk around back in the early evening for the best view around from the lodges back deck. The marina down the road is a great spot to rent a fishing boat, get your fishing license, and any last-minute tips.

The Fish Lake salmon run in Utah is an angler’s dream. When the Kokanee salmon fill the lake, it’s your chance to catch them at their best. You can’t fish them in the creek, but out on the lake, it’s all about patience and skill. Hooking one feels like trying to pull in a firecracker on the end of your line. These fish put up a good fight, making it a rewarding experience for anyone out there. It’s just you, the lake, and the salmon—simple, honest fishing.

I just got back from spending a long weekend at the lakeside resort. It was awesome! everyone did the camp wave. I was with a large group. We rented the sunflower, columbine, and larkspur. they all open to one big cabin if you open the connecting doors. This was our first time there and we had a great time! All the people complaining rented old rustic cabins. the deluxe cabins have all the regular amenities you'd find in a cozy northeast camp cabin. full kitchens, full bathrooms, warm log cabin feel, wood burning heat if you'd rather not use the modern electric heating. TV (bring a dvd player, you're in a beautiful alpine lake at the top of a remote mountain, far from your office!). The fishing is fantastic, and the temperatures are so much cooler than the rest of the State. Everyone at the shop and the marina were more than nice. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful the eagles and deer were everywhere. This time around we didn't get to go inside the lodge was closed and some of the roads were still closed off. But it looked beautiful with all the eyes still out there and the snow on the mountains and then there were areas where you could totally see through the water.
